Dolby Features

Our new ADEC decoder includes the latest version of Dolby decoding.

In addition of the latest Dolby Atmos rendering and Dolby Surround upmixers, Dolby Mode and Dolby Virtualizer functions were also added to our processing and interface.

Dolby Mode

Movie Mode

  • Enhances cinematic audio by widening the soundstage, emphasizing dialogue clarity, and boosting surround effects to create a more immersive, theater-like experience.

  • Plays on dialog enhance, volume leveler and slight increase of surround levels

Music Mode

  • Preserves natural sound balance with rich, detailed audio reproduction; optimizes stereo imaging and maintains fidelity for a more authentic music listening experience.

  • Mainly applies some EQ over your content

Night Mode

  • Compresses dynamic range to reduce loud peaks and enhance quieter sounds, making it ideal for low-volume listening without missing important details—perfect for nighttime use.

  • Applies some compression and volume leveling as well as some dialog enhancement

Dolby Virtualizer

The Speaker Virtualizer feature uses a combination of head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) and crosstalk cancellation to simulate the arrival at the listener’s ears of sound coming from the speaker locations, associated with a more immersive speaker layout.

  • The HRTFs are chosen for their ability to work well for a large number of listeners. The virtualization filters are carefully conditioned to produce an uncolored, natural sound, even for listeners outside of the sweet spot.

  • The Speaker Virtualizer enhances the surround and height speaker channels of the multichannel signal to create an enveloping virtual surround effect.

  • The soundstage that is created using the Speaker Virtualizer is larger than a soundstage that is created without virtualization. A listener located at the center of the soundstage of a product with speaker virtualization will perceive sound arriving from the speaker locations associated with a 5.1.2, 5.1.4, or 7.1.4 configuration.

  • Depending on the speakers’ configurations, Dolby Vistualizer will apply surround virtualization and height virtualization using available speakers, see below some illustrations.
