ART - Troubleshooting

“Sad Emoji” or warning (/ “!”) measurement

When confronted to a “bad” measurement for ART, Dirac Live UI will show you a or a “!” in place of your measurement point:

This means this measurement wont be able to be processed for ART and should be replaced by a proper one.
As per Dirac recommendation, the main points you should look out for to make a better measurement:

  1. Change USB port for your microphone (USB mics)

  2. Increase master volume to improve signal to noise ratio

  3. Change your MIC cable

  4. Change computer

  5. Change microphone

If after doing all that it didn’t improve, create a ticket at Dirac Service Desk for help.

No DL-ART nor DL-BC in Dirac Live UI, only Dirac Live calibration mode is available

This is a current limitation for our 4.5r0 firmware when grouping subwoofers in the Dirac Setup of our WebUI.

Ungroup your subwoofers from the Dirac Setup to use both BM features.

The reason behind this is because of the way we now handle Dirac filters since ART. We plan on restoring this in a future firmware release. To be announced.

Dirac Live UI does not see my ISP and can’t connect to it

In our ISPs, we are currently limited to 20 unique Dirac profile exports across all speaker layouts. Normal profiles and Dirac duplicates do not suffer this limit, you can create as many as you want.

If you reach the limit, the Dirac process will show as if it started from the WebUI, but will not start in reality. This can explain why you cannot connect your ISP to Dirac.
This is a known bug from our latest 4.5r0 that should be resolved in the next release. You should expect a warning and the UI should impeach you from entering Dirac Mode.
