Here is a quick guide on how to create a sub Theater.

A sub Theater allows you to create a Theater with only L/R/Mono/sub signals. With this you can “reverse” a room (sit in the opposite direction with correct L/R signals), make a 2.0/2.1 preset for music listening, etc…

Prerequisites

Your ISP must be powered ON, up-to-date and connected to your LAN.

You need to access the Main Speakers page in the Installer WebUI.

You need to have a Theater created already.

Instructions

  1. Click on “Edit” on the Theater you want to create a sub Theater in.

  2. Click on “Create Child” in that Theater.

  3. Select the signals you want to apply to the speakers you need.

  4. You can check the “Keep Dirac profile” box at the bottom to keep the Dirac parameters saved in the profile you created the sub Theater from. Uncheck it to get a blank profile. You can always create a new blank profile if keeping the Dirac parameters.

  5. Save you SubTheater and go to the “Presets” page of the WebUI.

  6. A new Preset will be created automatically with your new subTheater and profile selected. Modify it if needed.

  7. You can now select that Preset to enter the SubTheater created.
