My ISP is stuck in the initializing process

How to restart your ISP if it stays in the initializing process for more than 10 minutes.

Warnings

Your WebUI will enter a degraded mode, with only a few options for configuration, but you’ll be able to save your configuration as well as perform a firmware upgrade.

It should only be used for this particular situation.

This problem isn’t intended to occur during the lifetime of your product.

If you do encounter this issue, you can try the few steps below, but be sure to open a ticket on our Service Desk regardless of the outcome.

Prerequisites

Your ISP needs to be powered ON and connected to your LAN.

You need to access the Installer WebUI.

Try a full power cycle before starting the below procedure.

Instructions

  1. In the url bar of your web browser, after yourISPlocalIP/system.php type in ?locked=1 and press enter. It should look like this :

  2. Save your backup configuration in a file to restore it later.

  3. Perform a firmware upgrade to the latest version. You can track the progress of this in the WebUI and front panel display.

  4. The ISP should reboot after a few minutes, and you should recover full control of your ISP.

  5. You can then recall your last configuration using the backup file you created earlier.

  6. Submit a Service Desk ticket about it.
