ISP without a LAN - Direct connection

You can configure your processor using only a RJ45 Ethernet cable between your computer and your ISP.

A direct connection to your ISP may be preferred if:

  • You don’t have a LAN available

  • You don’t want to use the LAN to connect to your ISP

  • You are having trouble with your remote access to the ISP, and you suspect your LAN might be the issue


Using this method of connection revokes TCP/IP control of the ISP : you won’t be able to use a Home Automation System or the StormRemote app as you won’t be connected to the network.
